The SIG is open exclusively to senior marketing, shopper insights, and category management professionals. All SIG members are from leading, non-competitive, supplier companies and all value (and commit to) a high level of engagement and contribution to collective learning within a close community of peers. SIG meeting participants also include leading retail, technology and independent expert guests. Continuity in member attendance at SIG meetings is strongly encouraged for the benefit of the member and the group. Members may bring guests as outlined in the RNG Community membership agreement.

SIG OPERATING MODEL

The SIG is member-led and meets four times per year. Meeting agendas are shaped by the group and structured to allow members to share critical knowledge and insights on the most salient issues of today while staying abreast of important future trends.
The group operates on a few basic but very important principles:
  • Structure: The meetings follow a pre-determined, member-driven agenda and they are facilitated by RetailNet Group thought leaders.
  • Commitment: For SIG program participants to receive maximum benefit, attendance at all meetings is strongly encouraged. Implicit in the SIG membership is the desire and willingness to engage, share, and learn in an open group setting of peers.
  • Confidentiality: While SIG members are non-competitive, they pledge to maintain the highest level of sensitivity and awareness regarding disclosure of information.

OTHER SIG MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

SIG members have a dedicated website for access to meeting agendas, meeting content, and supporting research. Members may submit inquiry to RNG analysts for additional insight and answers to questions, and they can expect regular dialog with RNG thought leaders on top-of-mind SIG topics. Upon request, program participants may also seek access to the broader RNG network of industry participants and subject matter experts.
