In today’s headline, Carrefour agreed to sell its remaining 60% stake in Indonesia to its local joint venture partner, CT Corp. It is the fifth international market that Carrefour has sold in the last 6 months, following its footsteps in Colombia, Malaysia, Greece and Singapore. Unlike the disposals in the other markets, the Carrefour banner name will be changed to Trans Carrefour in the next five years under the franchise agreement with CT Corp.’s subsidiary Trans Retail.
