US Ecommerce Go-To-Market Report, April 2019

By: Violetta Volovich, Tuesday, Apr 30, 2019

Even though the US will be overtaken by China in terms of retail market size by 2020, digital transformation and fast evolution of retail formats mean that by 2023, US ecommerce sales will be bigger than China’s online retail market is today. The sheer size of this makes the US a global must-win ecommerce market for both domestic and international CPG suppliers.

With Amazon and Walmart, the US is home to two of the world’s most dynamic and innovative ecommerce players. Combined, the two will capture around two-thirds of US online food sales by 2023.
