Mothercare reports declining sales in Q3 2019
Mothercare has reported its Q3 results for the 13 week period to 5 January 2019. UK like-for-like sales reduced by 11.4% in the quarter, reflecting a combination of the difficult consumer backdrop and the aggressive discounting activity undertaken in the prior year that inflated sales in that period. Online sales in the UK declined by 16.3%. International retail sales decreased by 1.1% in constant currency and by 3.2% in actual currency.
