Carrefour France tests AI-based product recognition

Carrefour in France is testing an AI-based solution that allows for the automatic recognition of products and brands on shelves. The retailer is working with a solution from French start-up Qopius, a specialist in image recognition and artificial intelligence. Using a network of cameras, the system is able to identify availability gaps and check compliance with merchandising plans.
