Schwarz Group Lidl tests self-checkout in Belgium

Schwarz Group's discount banner Lidl has been testing self-scanning cash registers since 2 February at a store in Belgium. Two traditional checkout counters have been replaced with 5 self-services ones where customers can scan products by themselves and pay via both cash and card. The new self-checkout stations are aimed at speeding up small basket checkouts. (Dutch language)
