Alibaba backs Indian video analytics startup
Indian online video intelligence and analytics platform Vidooly has received INR150 million (USD2.11 million) in investment, with Chinese ecommerce giant Alibaba being the biggest investor. Alibaba has invested INR143 million (USD2 million) in the company. Alibaba has been aggressively scaling up in India, investing in ecommerce, entertainment and logistics companies. Overall, the retailer has invested about USD2 billion in India.
