Mercadona expands ‘Ready to eat’ offer to all Spanish stores
Mercadona will extend its ‘Ready to eat’ service to its entire supermarket network in Spain and Portugal. Offering freshly made food in-store, the retailer launched a pilot test of the service in August last year in the Valencian town of Burjassot.
Following the positive response of consumers, the takeaway service was initially extended to 10 supermarkets in the province. As part of further expansion, the service will now be available at all of its 1,626 stores across Spain and eight that will open as of August in Portugal. (Spanish language)
