Ulta reports 9.4% increase in Q4 comparable sales
Ulta Beauty announced financial results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year ended 2 February 2019, which compares to the fourteen and fifty-three week periods ended February 3, 2018. Q4 net sales increased by 9.7% to USD2,124.7 million compared to USD1,937.6 million in Q4 2017. Full-year net sales increased by 14.1% to USD6,716.6 million compared to USD5,884.5 million in fiscal 2017.
Comparable sales (sales for stores open at least 14 months and ecommerce sales) increased 9.4% compared to an increase of 8.8% in Q4 2017. The 9.4% comparable sales increase was driven by 7.1% transaction growth and 2.3% growth in average ticket.
