Zalando shuts down private label subsidiary to grow space for brands

Zalando, Europe's leading online platform for fashion and lifestyle, has refined its private labels assortment to pursue a complementary strategy with its partner brands. As a consequence, the private label business within zLabels will be discontinued as of April 1, 2019.
By rebuilding the private label business within Zalando, a significant number of the 550 zLabels employees will move into the Zalando Fashion Store or will be offered comparable positions within Zalando.
