Starbucks, Microsoft partner to improve omnichannel customer experience
In partnership with Microsoft, Starbucks is deploying a range of technologies with the goal of providing a more personalized and frictionless customer experience. Among several initiatives, the retailer is upgrading its mobile app, based on Microsoft’s Azure Blockchain Service that shows customers information about where their packaged coffee comes from.
Starbucks updated app will also give customers tailor-made order suggestions, making personalized recommendations based on local store inventory, popular selections, weather, time of day, community preferences, and previous orders. Starbucks is also looking to expand this technology to its drive-thru service.
