Mercator net sales up 1.2% in 2018
Balkan grocery conglomerate Mercator saw a 1.2% sales gain for its FY2018, bringing in EUR2.18 billion in total revenue, with FMCG sales up 3.2% to EUR1.63 billion. This pushed profit to EUR1.6 million, reversing a EUR184.4 million loss in the previous year.
The majority of revenue (56.1%) came from its domestic Slovenian market, while 32.6% was derived from its Serbia business. Mercator ended the year with 1,051 owned stores with 528 in Slovenia, 327 in Serbia, 119 in Montenegro and 77 in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
