Alibaba revenue grows 51% in FY 2019
Alibaba Group has announced its financial results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year ended 31 March 2019. In Q4 2019, revenue increased by 51% to CNY93.50 billion (USD13.93 million). Annual active consumers on the China retail marketplaces reached 654 million, an increase of 18 million from the 12-month period ended 31 December 2018.
For the full year, revenue was RMB376.844 billion (USD56.15 million), an increase of 51% year-over-year. GMV transacted on its China retail marketplaces was CNY5,727 billion (USD853 billion) for the fiscal year 2019, representing a growth rate of 19%. Tmall physical goods GMV increased by 31% and Taobao physical goods GMV increased by 19%.
