Co-op UK has struck a deal with Superdrug to provide the health and beauty chain with sandwiches and snacks for its food-to-go range. During a trial period set to launch this summer, the supermarket chain will supply a range of 40 own-brand products including sandwiches, salads and fruit to seven Superdrug branches at railway stations and airports.
The move is Co-op’s latest attempt to offer its own-brand products through new retailers following a tie-up with 2,200 Costcutter stores and its acquisition of convenience store chain Nisa.
