Iceland reports 4.5% sales growth in 2018

Frozen food chain Iceland has announced its full year results for the 52 weeks ended 29 March 2019. Sales for the year rose by 4.5% to GBP3.08 billion while EBITDA dropped. Adjustment to a comparable 52-week basis shows growth of 4.5%, ahead of the UK grocery market as a whole.
The retailer has confirmed plans to open 50 new stores in the UK this year, having opened 14 so far. Sixteen of the new sites opening this year will be Iceland stores and 34 will be Food Warehouse sites.
