AmazonFresh, Amazon.com’s Seattle grocery delivery pilot, has launched a program called “Seattle Spotlight” that allows customers to order from local restaurants and businesses. The program, which began in December 2012, currently offers meals and ingredients from 41 “local favorites.” Products are a mix of full meals and individual ingredients that range from artisan breads and cheeses to donuts and ready-to-cook pizzas. For example, customers can order clam chowder and craft beer from vendors at the famous Pike Place Farmers Market or lasagna and panna cotta from La Spiga.
